Privacy Policy

At J P Gainsford Associates we take protection of your data very seriously and ensure we take all practical steps to comply with the new GDPR laws.

We will process personal information for the purposes of contractual obligations and to ensure compliance with appropriate legislation.  Personal data will not be transferred to third parties for processing outside of the originally intended purpose, but where it is transferred to processors appointed by us as the controller, the original purpose for the processing will not change.

As Chartered Surveyors we are required to retain details of all work undertaken for a period of 15 years, therefore all information passed to us by you will be archived, (both electronically and in paper form), for this period.  This is likely to include your name, address, telephone number (landline and mobile), email address, etc., current at the time of your initial contact with us, and all information relating to the property we inspect on your behalf.  Whilst that information may be used by us to contact you, it will not be made available to any third party individuals or organisations.  After 15 years have elapsed, all information will be securely disposed of, shredded and deleted.

If you do not engage us to undertake work on your behalf, all data will be deleted within 6 months of your initial contact.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments – Comments are disabled on our website – please get in touch with us by telephone, email or write a letter.

Media – we do not allow the uploading or sharing of personal content, photos, videos on our website.

Contact forms – If you use the contact form on our site your personal information is sent directly to our admin email address and not held by our website host or any third party.

Analytics – we use google analytics to determine number of views to our website and calls made to our telephone number, to review performance every month.  No personal data is stored by JPG Associates as part of this process. We would refer you to Googles privacy policy in this regard.
